so many people walk around with a meaningless life. they seem half asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. this is because they chasing the wrong things. they way you get meaning to your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning
College has constantly been on my mind. Especially because a ton of friends just left for college and because school is approaching. I did a few college visits over the summer. I'm scared because my SAT scores are so low, but I plan on retaking them twice. What is on my mind, is what I should major in. I'm stuck between two right now. I've wanted to major in physiology for the longest of time. Because I love helping people and getting into the mind. I was thinking about working at a rehab center or being a therapist. Just the other day, I was at B&N browsing the college section and came across a book about majors. First one to check was physc and I find out that they really don't make that much money and most of the time end up doing receptionist-like work. My other major I've thought about is physical therapy. It also helps people. I'd take it in the direction of being just a plain old physical therapist, possibly one to dancers or to those with disabilities. They make a ton of money but they require at least 3 years of grad school (although one of the colleges I did visit has this cool program where I could get my degree from two schools in six or seven years). And you have to LOVE science. I'm decent at science but I'm not in love with it. Yay for being confused -_-

i feel you about college. it's been on my mind so much right now as well. every time i come online, i research a college. i'm so scared i won't get in anywhere also because of my low SAT scores =/ anddddd....also stuck on a major. i'm going into med school so most likely a science like bio or biochem. blehh. if you're up to doing the extra schooling then i would say go for it. it's only 3 years after all. not 4 like for medicine 0_0 plus, it'll probably be rewarding later on [:
ouch, i could never do med school. you're gonna make sooo much money but i dont think i could be in school for that long haha and the only thing is, im not that great at science. im good, but not fantastic.
