So, I'm thinking about breaking up with my boyfriend. I'm kind of bored with the relationship and I don't like him as much as he likes me. I have a bunch of college sh.it coming up and I feel like that's enough stress as it is, without him. We've only been together 3 months so it's not mutual.. he knows something's up but doesn't know what exactly. Is this a fair reason to want to break up with him/what should I say?
that's a tough one. maybe say like 'we want different things. i need to focus on school right now. we can still be friends....' and it's a fair reason to break up with him. you are apart of the relationship too.
i agree with val, but the whole can we be friends never works cause he'll probably have that feeling you'll want to get back with him. so be careful what you say and if you stay friends don't give him he wrong impression
well if you lay out your feelings like "we're at different points in this relationship and i don't think its going to work with upcoming stress, i think it's best we stay friends"
i mean i had to break up with my boyfriend cause i needed someone mature and i just told him and he understood and accepted it, kind of expected it really, and now we're good friends and chat frequently, it's fine :)
